Traditional Rituals and Ceremonies
The wedding followed traditional Hindu and Gujarati rituals. The ceremony began with the baraat, followed by the varmala and lagna vidhi, where the couple exchanged garlands and vows. The pheras, where the couple walks around a sacred fire seven times, were performed with close family and friends in attendance.
In the lead-up to the main wedding, several pre-wedding rituals were held. The haldi and mehendi ceremonies were vibrant events, with the bride wearing a stunning yellow Anamika Khanna lehenga.
The Theme
The wedding’s theme honored Varanasi, with the venue decorated to reflect the city’s spirituality and aesthetic beauty. The intricate decor was a tribute to India’s artisans, weavers, and craftspeople, as envisioned by Nita Ambani, the groom’s mother.
